About the Founding Members
The Late Rita Kamara
The First President of AWFOSA
Rita was born in Sierra Leone and came to Australia in 2001. She was the first President of the AWFOSA. Sadly, Rita passed away battling cancer, may the Lord Rest her soul in peace.
Ayen Kuol
The first vice president & a life member
Ayen was born in South Sudan and was Vice Chair from 2004 to 2010. She now resides in Sudan.
Carla Tongun
First Treasurer & a life member
Carla was born in South Sudan and was treasurer from 2004 to 2010. She currently lives between South Sudan and Australia and is actively involved with AWFOSA, playing an advisory role, as a life member.
Hiacinta Msomi
First Secretary & a life member
Hacinta was born in Tanzania and was the AWFOSA Secretary from 2004 -2010. She currently resides in Adelaide and is actively involved with AWFOSA and playing an advisory role as a life member.
